It could have been different for Tuffley if Niall Priday had not squandered three chances to open the scoring. The referee booked two players late in the game for swearing and dissent respectively. Major headed in the third a minute later from Sam Gunnell’s superb cross from the right as Tuffley began to lose their composure. Ben Major opened the scoring with a delicate chip over the keeper before Dan Hearn smashed in a volley from the edge of the area with five minutes to play. Gotherington scored three times in the second half to beat title rivals Tuffley Rovers and continue their one hundred per cent winning start to the season.
