High strung tension starts off this story as Gunnar arrests Laney’s best friend Luke Wagner and expectations builds the tensions to an all-time high as Laney launches her own investigation with a Federal Marshall and things quickly escalate while some unexpected discovers keeps the characters and the readers on the edge of their seats. The characters are strong compelling and demand your attention while they take down the bad guys and struggle with the demands that the job has on their relationship while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, action, fireworks and romance.
The relationship has hit a rough patch as investigations get in the way of Laney and Gunnar’s romance but of course the sexual chemistry is as hot as ever and tends to play a bit of havoc with Laney’s intention to let Gunnar have it. Gunnar Wilson just went and pulled a fast one and skipped out and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the fireworks as Deputy Laney Briggs goes wild, wild west on Gunnar. Gunnar was planning to propose to Laney but things went to hell and now she’s gonna have his hide when she finds out just how much he been keeping from her in this riveting romantic suspense.
